Default "device changed to channel 1" message

i'm running v5.1.1 on a custom built 1.7 mhz p4 w/ dual hard drives & 512 mb ram, dvd rom, cd burner & zip drive. i'm also using a logitech cordless keybd. & mouse. the system is pro tools dedicated.
aside from the occasional loop play/rec button toggle problem, the system has run fine for about a month. now when i engage a track record button i get a pop up text box that says "device changed to channel 1" the only option is to accept this and after that the system freezes & the mouse curser starts jumping all over the screen. the only fix is to cold boot the computer. help! i'm not running any midi stuff, only analog tracks.

thanks,
drum-van

I had a Logitech Wireless mouse and keyboard setup. I had the same problems, and the only fix was to not use the wireless. It sucks not getting to use it, but you will continue to have those problems unless you go to a cabled mouse.

looks like there's starting to be a concensus. i wonder why it took so long to show up. could dying cordless batteries have anything to do with it? just wondering.
