Brent, I've tried several times to post replies to your blog, but lately I get this "Can't find website" error?

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I highly appreciate the time and knowledge you put into your blog, especially since I got my D-Command ES this week. I'm eagerly awaiting your next blog...

Thanks a lot.

Hi Stig,

Just posted a new video on plug in mapping...sorry for the delays in getting there.
I made it on the new office mac, in QT H264 format and now Revver is taking forever to transcode it...sighs...should be up in better quality within 24 hours.

Sorry for bumping this decade old thread, but have searched, read manuals, looked everywhere and it seems unlikely but...

is there any way on the D-Command to force plug-ins to *not* add the '=2' on the end of plug-in names when using stereo/multichannel plugs vs their mono counterparts. It's a waste of precious screen/name space and looks scruffy vs seeing as much of the plug-in name as possible (like with mono plugs).

This place seems quite dead and this is an old thread so I doubt I'll get a reply but you never know. (though I'm guessing the answer is 'no, deal with it')

I assume you're talking about instantiating plugins from the console? You can touch the encoders to "spill out" plugin names onto following strips.

Hmm, seems a daft oversight for an otherwise extremely well thought out piece of gear with so many preferences/customisations available. And now a bit too late to lobby avid to change it seeing how it's dead to them.

And no I didn't mean about instantiating a plug, I know you can touch the knobs to see the full name (which is another example of their otherwise great design).

That '=2' will always bug me, a little. Seems so wasteful.

Thanks for the reply anyway, at least I know to stop looking!
