Default Anybody else notice that after almost every update in HD10 it just creates more bugs

Anybody else notice that after almost every update in HD10 it just creates more bugs. In HD9 I don't recall having a bug that completely stop me from being able to do what I wanted but in HD10 it seems as though there are lots of things that don't function properly. I am new to ProTools so I expect I am doing some of the things wrong but when I can't get the clip colors to match the tracks come on. Keyboard shortcuts Im learning don't work unless they have changed some . My audio seems to slip a lot these days. And tracks are changing level for no reason . Groups just disappearing from the list .This all seems a bit strange to me having not ever noticed problems like this before.
Does any person think this could be a MAC virus. Should I be scanning all email and downloads as a precaution . Or is this just a really problematic version of PT. Its getting so bad I am considering having my computer professionally tested and cleaned to find out what the problem is so I can use PT again. Its not much money at all do you think its worth it , does anybody have some knowledge they would like to share.

10.1.3 is working pretty well for me. It's progress, not regress.

Always good to list your system specs.

Hi phatbeatstudio,

I assume you have an HDX card installed because you're here in the HDX forum. PT9 does not support the HDX card, so I'm confused.

My punctuation has caused a few misunderstandings already. Im a school flunky all I did was think about music nobody ever said there was going to be computers involved.

The best I can do for you on punctuation is if there is a period or comma thingy the following is a different sentence. Iv my hands full with protools I really don't have time to learn punctuation. Im not illiterate and I do read my posts but I'm new to computers and sometimes I don't spell check when Im not on a mac so it might be a little confusing.

I don't possibly see how you don't understand what I said . (in summery) , updates on HD10 seem to cause more bugs. when I used HD9 updates didn't seem to cause bugs . HD9 worked after updates HD10 does not. And yes because Im in the HDX forum you can assume I use HDX. My grammar and punctuation might be off but if you work with musicians you should easily be able to understand what I'm saying. Its kind of insulting for someone to say they don't understand what I'm saying because I don't have the appropriate squiggly dot . But I think some people are just trying piss me off . I do understand that and I don't like it.

Im a little confused to Metro . Since we know that HDX does not support HD9 why would you think that. You must have been the kid that spent all day trying to get the square block in the round hole. It doesn't fit or does it maybe not , well ill try one more time . It won't ever fit no matter what you do Metro

Hey Phatbeat - why the insulting tone? Maybe the "grammar thing" was a bit rude; but Tom's post contained a completely valid question; this is an HDX thread so you will not hear anything about how things were with PT HD versions older than 10.1HD which was the initial release for us HDX users. So you cannot really compare PT9HD (Native or HD/TDM) to PT10.1HD (HDX). Still apparently 10.1.3HD is working really well for a lot of people so you might try and install this update (I'm still on 10.1.2HD and will upgrade during the weekend). Keep it cool, dudes!

phatbeatstudio,

I'm still at a loss attempting to understand the exact issue at hand here. The questions of the exact Pro Tools versions and hardware to which you refer, seem to have remained unanswered.

Even in your eloquent, quoted post above, I cannot ascertain the exact nature of your dilemma. Please be so kind as to confirm the type and quantity of DSP card(s) (HDX1, HDX2 etc.) that you are comparing in PTHD9 and 10 and the exact PT version(s).

And, your OSX version would also be helpful.

We are only responding in your thread in order to help you sort though the issues that brought you here.

PS
A hint relating to the secret behind the square block in the round hole involves 'the adequate conception of a circle'.

Peace.
