Default tempo events

Hi

On a drum take i have got, the first 2 bars are 5 bpm slower than the rest of the track. I have tried editing the tempo markers on the first two bars to match the rest of the take. When i did this the click went out of time and the tempo editor changes from blue to green (what does this mean?). Im not sure what I did wrong. I did this in ticks and think it may have something to do with this although i dont know, Im finding the tempo side of pro tools the most challenging part of the programme. Any help on using the tools in PT to solve this would be very gratefully appreciated!!
