Does Digi02 Rack Face-Plate Come Off?

Hello Everyone! First post here and I am very excited to have joined this great forum.

Well, first off, I'm talking about the grey plate on the front of the Digi002 interface. I unscrewed the four bolts and tried to disassemble it with no luck. I think those are just cosmetic. Does anyone know if this is possible? Reason why I am asking is because I would like to paint the plate a custom color, (which I am very experienced in doing, painting that is). Any help would be great!!! Thanks guys.

This doesn't specifically address your question but I'm guessing it'll help you. It sounds like you need to remove the top panel as well. Good luck.

@ Dave, I will try that out. Hopefully it works out. Only way I can see it happening, if there are screws inside holding the plate. I will be back with the update. Thanks

Pull all the knobs and see if there are nuts underneath. Since all the pots and front panel jacks are mounted to the circuit board, if they are attached to the faceplate as well, those will need to be removed. What's the goal here? If its to access the power harness, the top is the only part that needs to be removed

So, I ended up taking off the top plate and realized that there are screws holding the plate from the inside. The strange thing was that there are couple of the screws that are IMPOSSIBLE to reach, being blocked by soldering parts. Well, I guess I'm going to have to just tape the face plate and paint it. GREAT! (sarcasm)
