sync mpc 2000xl to digi oo2 rack

I want to make oo2 rack the master of my mpc 2000xl I hooked the midi cable from the pt midi out to the mpc midi in--I selected the midi beat clock on the pt oo2--and I set the interface to digi oo2--I set the mpc to midi clock and turned on the recieve mmc--it still is not sync together --do I need to do anything else
