Key command for clearing playlist solo?

68 pages of Pro Tools key commands, and the only way to clear a playlist solo is with the mouse? Really?

(I know I can switch to waveform view and that will clear the solo, but that's not a good workflow.)

I made a Keyboard Maestro macro that does just this. YMMV.

Doesn't Shift+s do what you want? It only works when the playlist is selected though, so maybe that's not what you want.

Can't speak for Nathaniel, but what I wanted was to be able to clear a playlist solo with the keyboard no matter where the PT cursor happened to be.

Are you looking to clear a playlist solo while leaving other solos intact? If not, does the "Clear Solos" Eucon command not clear playlist solos too (I haven't actually checked)?

You do know that if the cursor is in the solo'd playlist (even though the playlist doesn't "highlight"), shift-s will clear the playlist solo?

Can't speak for Nathaniel, but yes, aware of the shift-S shortcut and use it all the time. I kept finding myself, though, in the situation where the cursor would be back up on the main playlist while one of the many take playlists below was soloed. Hitting option-shift-S is much quicker than hunting down the soloed playlist, putting my cursor on it, then cancelling the solo with shift-S.

How well does this work? I'm looking for the same thing here. I hate using the mouse to click the small buttons

Well! Any time you're using "found image" detection, there can be edge cases that get weird (especially if you're using multiple monitors, or going between a laptop screen and external monitor). I also subsequently added to this script to make it more robust for different track height views. Overall though, if you like fiddling with scripts, I highly recommend using KM to add functionality where you see fit.

Just to confirm - this does *not* work. I would classify that as a bug; "Clear Solos" should do exactly that, clear all solos including playlist solos.

And just noticed this; playlist solos are not reflected by the main "solo" indicator in the main edit window toolbar and of course they are not "clear-able" by clicking on it. This really seems like it should be addressed.
