digilink cable + BNC
Hey i am changing my rig to a portable setup, thing is I want to have my 96i in a different rack case than the 192, so when I do a gig that doesn't require 85 tracks, I can show up with less gear.
The question I have is: Digidesign sells two digilink cables, 1.5 feet and 12 feet. I really need a 6' digilink cable. Will running the 96i's output through two 12 foot cables cause any loss in fidelity? I record at 24/96 to a g4 with the old pci cards. I remember the Jitter discussions and I just want to be sure it will be ok to do this.. Why the heck do we have all these ports on the back of the accel cards if you can't use them? keny
