Default Buy a decent network switch...

Just my wisdom of the day, after spending 4 hours last night trying to get my new transport and mix to play nicely. They were connected by the usual household ADSL router that was kicking around the house. No dice! Hours of messing with DCHP (or whatever it is...) settings, etc and it refused to function.

This morning I spent $70 on a very decent, server-grade switch... and bang! Straight out of the box the transport and mix are working just peachy using the same static IP's I infuriatingly tried to get to work last night.

For anyone setting up multiple artist units... its a no-brainer!
