modules go offline
Hi,
Everyday I notice 2 of my modules are going offline every day after some idle time (1x display, 1x fader) - a complete power cycle (cutting all power) is necessary to get them online again. I cannot just reboot them from the Surface tab. is there some timeout on these modules that can be set individually? it seems to happen everyday after lunchbreak :) any ideas?

Re: modules go offline
Greetings,
If you touch those modules from the Settings > Surface page - do they have an IP address? If so, is it in the same range as all of the other modules? Jeff |

Re: modules go offline
yes, their IP adress is in the same range as the other modules, just the status changes to Offline. I now observed that their status is somehow 'degrading'.
in the first hours of the day the module (in this case one of the fader modules) works fine. and after about 5 hours running. its reacting more slowly - pressing a mute button takes about 2-3 seconds to be executed in Protools. and then after one/two more hours - the same 2 modules go offline and the console has to be power cycled.

Re: modules go offline
Hi Jeff,
I have a seperate network on one of my ethernet ports (192.168.2.xxx) for the S6 and the Penta 720 Interface (using EuCon Monitoring) this network has no connection to the rest of the house (which runs on a 10.0.xxx net anyway) I observed the behaviour again yesterday. after an uptime of 6-7 hours both modules start reacting extremely slow. Rebooting the modules wouldn't be a problem, but a complete s6 power cycle during a mix with the client is not so nice. tom

Re: modules go offline
I would try switching the Ethernet ports that those 2 go into the switch and see if the problem moves.
