Is it worth me getting an Eleven Rack?

On the Eleven Rack I want to be able to record guitar, microphone, and stereo keyboard. From what can tall, this can be done.

I currently have a Fast Track C400, which I use for Pro Tools standard edition and general audio duties with the computer, which is used for all round usages. Could I use the the Eleven Rack in the same way?

Will the audio quality be a noticeable improvement over the Fast Track C400?

Both mentioned audio interfaces are aging.

Will the Eleven Rack continue to be supported for the foreseeable future?

How does the Eleven Rack compare to similar the competition, these days, and what alternatives should I consider?

All of your other options are doable.

Will it sound better than the maudio, I would say yes,but there are other factors when considering sound, like room treatment etc. monitors and quality of monitors used

Will it continue to be supported in future versions of ProTools ??
most definitely yes for the foreseeable two years easy. (Total speculation on my part however, Avid could shut it all down tomorrow if they really wanted to, but they won’t)

Yes, that is, but I'm in the UK. Apart from shipping costs and possible restrictions, I'd be concerned about the correct plug. The cheapest I've seen is £319 hardware only, which is about $428

What I'd like to know before I buy an Eleven Rack is whether I could easily use it for general computer audio activities, like listening to music, You Tube, whatever?

As trivial as it might seem, it's important when I'm using my computer for general purposes as well as recording...

I wouldn't recommend that for any audio interface. Generally the best bet is to use your integrated audio for your normal computer sounds, and keep the audio interface to DAW only. If you want to hear both from your monitors/speakers, then use an out from the interface to an in on your integrated sound card.

In that case I'll keep my Fast Track, which might still prove useful for recording in some circumstances. My problem with the integrated sound card lies with the fact I have no physical volume dial, or switch off, where I can kill the sound quickly.

The TC Electronics BMC-2 is a great little DAC/Monitor Controller unit. Use it to hook up the Eleven Rack via
spdiff. It has no inputs but lots of features.
