Eucontrol+hypercontol+EWPlay
First of, all drivers are up to date, just wanted to get that out of the way right away.
I have this axiom pro 61 that I am using as an input controller for a while now due to the hypercontrol and hui not overlapping. Meaning if you had both on as a midi controller, they could not operate the same faders record arm, mute solo etc. if you moved one around (mainly the one in the first slot) it pushed the other around, but you could not push the first slotted controller by using the second one. So I stopped using hypercontrol. Today though I though, hey why not test Eucontrol and hypercontrol together. So I enabled both, and to my pleasant surprise, they over lap. You can control the same faders, mute, select etc at the same time from either the surface controller or the axiom. SO Yay!!.. or so I thought....... For some reason, there's a strange bug that happens that if you select a track (instrument track) or move the selection track by track using the track up or down keys on the axiom, it places the track in question in record arm ready. Not a very problematic thing, but still I was wondering why. After a while of playing around with that I said, well then this is perfect, I'll be able to control my EW Play Vi's that way since you can't control them from an Ethernet controller, like the artist mix. Again.. things seemed to work well at first, but then it became evident there was a problem. Notes were sticking, and a big fat error came on that it said it couldn't auto save the session and that if my drive was read only, it needed to be changed. Let me say that I have never seen that error before, and my session drive is not in read only. I dismissed the message and the session kept going for about 10 seconds where the whole computer locked up with a (thank God I wasn't listening at mixing level) digital tone buzz noise. I'm not sure which between the Eucontrol, Hypercontrol or Play is causing the problem, I know it's not a combination of Eucontrol and Play, so it maybe a combination of of the three being used together, or just hypercontrol and Play (althought that didn't happen the times I was using them together in the past). So this was on pro tools 10.3.7. Eucontrol 3.0.06865161 (the one you gave me JC to solve my other problem), M-audio AxiomPro 6.0.3, and Play 4.0.18 (I know it's not the latest one, but I didn't need those fix and I doubt it has anything to do with the problem).
