Default USB 2 hub with Tyan K8WE \"Quadzilla\"

I'm debugging my new Quadzilla and found that a Belkin F5U234 USB2 hub will prevent it from booting. It works fine once the PC is booted, I just can't leave it plugged in while I boot or restart. I'm just using this hub to plug in USB memory sticks. I have an ancient USB 1 hub holding my iLoks that is working perfectly.

Just wondering if there is a high speed hub anybody has had any luck with? If so, what brand and model?

BTW, so far this PC is pretty solid and veeery fast. Thanks for all the info in the other thread here

I'm having similar problems with my HP xw9300 / Gefen USB extender / D-Control.
It is a 4 port Gefen extender, and I have
D-control
Mouse
USB to serial converter connected to my Air 6 speakers. (For configurations)

The Computer would not boot up, when the D-Control was connected to this Gefen extender.
As soon as I turn D-Control off, it would boot, then I turn D-Control on, and all is well.

Other tests I did were,
Connected the D-Control directly to the xw9300 using 2 USB repeaters - Booted fine.
Connected a HP keyboard to the Gefen USB extender - Booted fine.

So this happens when I use the following 3 in combination.
(HP xw9300 / Gefen USB extender / D-Control)

Please let me know if you've found any answers to your problem, because this could lead to solving mine.

Thank you
Tomio

It looks like it was just an incompatible USB hub. I swapped the one from my laptop and it seems to be working (so far). The one that works is an IOGear model GUH274 4-way hub. It's just a cheap hub that I probably picked up at Frys.

I don't know if that helps at all, but it seems to have solved my glitch.
