Default Please Help (All My Sessions Tempos have Slowed Down)

Hello Everyone:

I'm a board newbie who needs some help urgently.

I use Windows XP with Service Pack 3.

I'm a Former Cubase user who's had M-Powered Pro Tools 8, An Axiom 49 Keyboard, and Pro Fire 610 Interface since June 2009 and everything has ran fine as I was making and tweaking sessions. Then a few days ago (Sunday 8-16-09) I finally was happy with 4 Sessions so I made Master Tracks on each session and did some more tweaking and I decided to Bounce Them so I could make them into wav. files and of course into MP3's. Well I did all of that and everything went fine and I even put the tracks up on MySpace with no problems.

Fast forward to last night and I go into Pro Tools for the first time since 8-16-09 (My 9-5 kills most of my weekday music making time) and all of my sessions have lost speed/tempo changed to make all the sessions noticeably slower then they were. FYI, I mean all my sessions and not just the 4 sessions I bounced on Sunday (8-16-09). Even stranger was the fact that the 4 sessions I recently bounced their MP3's play slower/tempo changed on I-Tunes (no other I-Tunes songs were effected). So of course I freaked out and started just trying things like I did a system restore (no luck), I removed the Master Track from 2 of the 4 songs I recently bounced (no luck), I even Removed the Wav. files of the 4 sessions I recently bounced from my computer altogether (no luck).

If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in Advance to All.

Peace and Love,

Loranzo99

Are you using any other hardware that might be connected digitally to the Pro Fire 610 S/PDIF connections?

What is the session sample rate?

The session sample rate is 44.1 and I don't have anymore stuff connected to the Pro Fire 610 (just my KRK Speakers are connected into the 610 and the 610's Firewire is going out to my Computer).

Was the session ever clocked to an external source? I'm betting it was.

Try this - create a new session at the same bit depth as this one, but use 48k for the sample rate. Then use Import Session Data to import everything from the original session - make sure to uncheck the box to sample rate convert.

That should get you sorted.
