Can't open M-Powered 7.4 file in LE 7.0 - any ideas?
I'm having a problem opening an M-Powered 7.4 file in LE 7.0.
I first opened a Pro Tools LE 7.0 file from a windows xp computer with my mac running M-powered 7.4 and had little problems. After adding some basic drum tracks to the file (no-plug ins), I saved the file to a flash drive and the tried to open it on the LE 7.0 windows Pro Tools but it would not open. This is the error message: "could not complete the 'open session'...command because it was determined the session version is too new while translating document info." I thought all Pro Tools files after 7 were compatible. Any ideas? Thanks! Last edited by mattj; 05-23-2009 at 01:18 AM. Reason: to include the actual error message |

hi
try "Save Copy In..." from the File Menu and select 5.1 to 6.9 format. should do it. from 7 to 7.4 was probably the biggest step forawrd in the history of ProTools because of Elastic Audio that totally changed the way Audiotracks are handled (my deductive best guess) :) best
