Pro Tools 2023.9 slow when editing playlist
Hi,
i have a problem with my pro tools 2023.9 with macOS Ventura. When i edit audio (crossfades, trims, zoom view etc.) with playlist pro tools is really slow (i see many times crown wheel). Also the playback stops between two different playlist comp in the main view with DAE error disk too slow. This happens only when i work with playlist comp. |

Re: Pro Tools 2023.9 slow when editing playlist
How many playlists? I can confirm this has been an issue with 2023.9 (at least - probably going back a long ways) on Ventura and Monterey on multiple very fast machines (Mac Studio Max and Ultra, HDX and Native). I frequently need to work with tracks which contain hundreds of playlists (200 - 400, all sort bits) - and sometimes need to work in Playlist view (in order to vew multiple options). As the number of playlists goes up, everything is fine and snappy until you enter playlist view - then the systems slow to a crawl; real workflow killer... I haven't had the time to file a bug report, but we all probably should.

Re: Pro Tools 2023.9 slow when editing playlist
in this case 9 tracks with 12 playlist each... Did you try with 2023.12? Same problem?
