Tough question to answer since everyone has different likes and usages. The way the plug-ins are adjusted makes a huge difference in the sound.

I'd suggest trying out some demos and use the ones you like.

I like the Waves and Massey stuff myself.

H-Delay is good, nothing wrong with admitting it

Revibe II is great for "Plate" or other reverb choices. Altiverb is a great choice too

Ecoboy from Soundtoys for me

I completely agree, they have great products but they need to rethink their business

They recently have just lowered pretty much all of their products which is about time

API collection is only $250 now and before it was like $600 for only 4 plugs

As far as delays are concerned, one of my all time favourites is the Massey TD5 -- in fact, I do not feel 100% comfortable using PT11 because I do not have it on my toolbox

That said, Waves SuperTap is also nice (but not yet PT11 compatible). Lexicon's are also usable (but not yet PT11 compatible). Then there are some cheapo delays from pspaudioware.com which are really great, but guess what -- not yet PT11 compatible.
