text/font issue in pro tools 10

i have noticed the text of the overview in the task manager doesn't erase sometimes after the session first starts up and an overview is built. sometimes it erases, sometimes it doesn't or some of it doesn't and moving my mouse over it makes it disintegrate like i'm using an eraser tool.

in addition, when i type notes in the comment box(it happens consistently in the mix window and edit), i see jibberish or nothing UNTIL i click off of the comments box then it shows what i type. only occasionally does it show as i'm typing. just thought i'd pass that along. i came from pt8 to pt10 and i didn't find others having this issue yet, so maybe i missed the memo? can someone see how their comment box acts and pay attention to the task manager to notice any similarities? or point me in the right direction?
