Pro Tools 11 Quits unexpectedly during record

Has anyone else had this problem? It started on 11.1.1 and hasn't been addressed in 11.1.2. Not even the new driver fixes it. Basically, you hit F12 and off the recording goes - then suddenly the whole thing quits, leaving you with a crash reporter.
I must admit some of the things I'm writing under 'help us fix this issue by telling us what happened' are beginning to get less than complimentary.

A little bird tells me it's a 'known issue' with waveform drawing. Is this good to know? Not really. 'We've fixed it forever' would be good to know.

Have you tried setting your tracks to block view, to test this hypothesis?

Really? Does the program hang? Or totally quit?

There should be crash logs if it quits!

In the same location logs are there any dlogs? These are dedicated pro tools logs that can be sent it to Avid for them to read!

It quits. It asks me if I'd like to send a log to Avid, which I do. I cannot, however, find that log on my machine.

Have you checked in Application > Utilities > Console (start Console)?
Look under User Diagnostic Reports and see if there are any applications dumps.
