Check out some of the zero latency very resource friendly Sonimus plugins. Especially Tuco and StonEq 4k both have a drive knob wich deals with transients. In additin you get a nice sounding compressor and eq.

Softtube has the Transient Shaper. Expensive but works well. Plugin alliance has the more traditional SLP Transient designer. Also works well.
And don't forget about Avids Distortion plugin. Can also tame transients with the threshold settings.

Never really got into the one in Trash. I tend towards the one in Alloy 2 for the rare times I need transients worked on.

Hi, Andre - great to get some Knecht Support™ again. I will check it out. Don't think I've tried a single Sonnox plugin yet. About time. Thanks.

Well, I'm looking for a tool to shape the "snap & sustain" in an artificial way, if that make sense, and these transient designers seem to fit the bill. I get pretty close with compression and gating, but I'd like something easier to work with, and AAX-DSP.

Thanks to all of you, by the way. Some of the suggestions I've never heard of, and will check them out. I do like Softube and PA.
