Default Book Recommendations

Hello. I'm very much a newbie when it comes to pro tools and music in general.

Are there any books out there great for beginners like me who want to learn how to not only use pro tools, but make music and also if there are any good books out there covering how to use EQ, what it does, and things like that?

I would be most interested in making pop-type and/or indie rock type music. But I would also like to learn any/all other genres I can including background music/sfx etc. I would like to learn how to edit voices and make them sound great as well.

I don't do too well with video tutorials as they tend to skip over details and I can't take in the information at my own pace. I much prefer reading books as they tend to go into more detail and I'm able to highlight specific topics or sentences that seem important to me, which is what I like.

Any books covering any, or all of these subjects would be really much appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

There are literally hundreds on Amazon alone. Here's just one page.

+1 for Bob Katz' book. Back to PT, I remember the Pro Tools Ignite series being very well done so maybe see if they have a current version for 2018 or at least for Pro Tools 12
