It is that USB2 is too slow to read and write a super fast SSD drive. It would ause your slowdowns and errors as it is the wrong way to go. Like buying a ferrari and driving with the breaks on

Ahh... I guess I got ahead of myself in my eagerness to record to an SSD drive. Really glad I found this thread as I hadnt thought about the drive as a possible problem source. Thanks for your replies, Christopher! - Mary
