Cs1 update

This has rendered the C24 with no comunication with HD 8.0. I have done all the expected things. I am going to have to now re install 8.0 fresh. Been on hold at Digi Phone supprt for 62 min at thiis point/ How frustrating

Hmmm......the update worked fine for me and my Control 24 last night.I'm on XP SP3.

Update:
I take it all back! Today my Control 24 boots up with session and freezes solid.I'm doing a system restore now.Who the hell tests these cs updates anyhow???

Have you made sure it was selected properly in the Peripherals panel? Did you try trashing prefs?

Ok

I had to revert back to a 7.4 Clone image. Ill re install 8.0 now and clone that.

Here is what is going to happen

Ill install 8.0 no cs1
After the 8.0 i am now going to get this message saying no satellite device. I go to satellite prefs and there is no way to turn it off.

But I just ignore it and use 8.0.

Now if I install cs1 i will then loose most C24 com. It will show the faders snap to position but will no send or receive data.

Yes I make sure the c24 is selected in the controllers and that the Ethernet port is selected and so on.

So what i keep seeing every 10 seconds or so The box saying there is no connectivity to HUI or something and to power cycle it ect.
I worked for about three hours trying to get it to work and now will have to go to just 8.0 for a while until I can have hours to trouble shoot this.

Command8 is also broken inlcuding pan, mute, solo, and faders in the UI using PT HD.

Yea thats it! It shown online but faders froze. No other Data to exchange. Meters work. But no pan faders mutes ect...

CS1 update hosed my 02R96 connection.
It worked fine as a controller via HUI and usb.
Then today I installed cs1. **stupid***stupid***stupid**
When first running, all seemed be fine - seemed like the HUI/02r96 connection was good. Faders come up when the session opens, etc. Faders would work fine both ways. But as soon as I click w/ the mouse on a pan knob in the PT mixer, connection would go kaput and the "Lost connection with HUI devices...." would come up and I'd have to quit PT.

Why do I do stupid things like install a cs update when I need to be working, not re-installing and troubleshooting.....

I'll never learn...

Always have a backup plan(thankfully, I did). cs1 has hosed everyone(maybe) and DIGI has pulled the update for the moment(according to a thread in the LE section). Windows system restore worked for me.

Before anyone asks....
yes I trashed the prefs, directories, etc..
re-setup 02r96/HUI stuff...
un-installed PT 8cs1 and re-installed PT 8 (NON cs1)
Now it works again....

finally installed 8 lastnight.everything seemed to be ok.installed cs1 this evening,procontrol panners or touching any panners freeze system. trying to go back to the original 8 version,at the moment the install is taking a long time
protools utility program says i do not have a valid version of protools installed
