Pan your GUITARS hard right and left.

Take the reverb off your voice, and
double the vocal track to thicken it
and eq the vocals for an am radio effect
if you want to hide/distort your own vocals
with a cool effect that always sounds
interesting.

I think that would work interesting for this.

I'm no great recording engineer but I know that the vocal mix is just not quite right yet. Too much reverb I agree. The music sounds great (drums, bass, guitar) just tweak that vocal mix.

Way to go, isn't the 001 and PTLE just great!

I love this program,im still learning so much from it.So when I eq the vocals to get that am sound should I focus on boosting the lows mid or highs or what? Also how is the compression on the vocals is it decent?

Sounds like you need to cut some low frequencies out of the drums. As soon as they came in it sounded really muddy. The vox definitly need some work. My method with reverb is get it where you think it sounds good, then back it off by about 1/5. This usually keeps me out of trouble with most of my effects.

for the am radio sound, if you really want it. use hipass and low-pass filters to take all of the low from maybe even 300 and down out. and probably take all of the 4K and up out. that should get you close.

You can get an AM radio effect with the Digi 1-Band EQ plugin. Just put it on your vocal track, click the lowpass button(the one on the left, I think), and use the slider to adjust it to 'that' sound...OR, since you have Waves...the Waves Q10 plugin has an actual 'AM Radio' setting, though for some things it's 'telephone' setting sounds more like an AM radio to me.
Sounds like you're off to a great start. Congrats on your new stuff...

Here is something I did with my band using a few 001's and an MBOX. Remember, I am just a crazy kid. How about some comments.
