So much gear your net would run out of bandwidth whenever he posts

In terms of digital. We have way passed the point of needing anything new that emulates analog hardware.

I've been only outfitting my studio with analog outboard gear for 5 years or so now. Plugins I just use slate. Fabfilter and sony. Waves I use CLA 1176. That's it.

My trick or copied trick is I find a setting on my hardware. I mark it. And I never change it. Label it in the i/o insert in protools such as Vocal1, 2, 808, etc... and use protools for the gain staging and additional eq and compressors. . I have approx 16 eqs and 12 compressors im using like this. Instant recall and real hardware. I also have a few stereo mix buss eqs I do this with. But mix buss compression I use plugins. I was summing but I find I prefer mix buss analog processing instead of analog summing. The protools mixer sounds good to me with the way I am using it.

I'm just going to keep adding hardware as inserts.

That's cool and also fast way to fill up that 32 i/o limit that forces serious studios to go HD/Ultimate

Yeah I have 48i/o. But I'm still using blue 192s. They sound fine so I'm not moving to the new boxes. Also I've even put 3 inserts on a channel that's 3 round trip conversions. And it still sounds fine to me.

Blue 192 conversion is just fine. Wouldn't use them for mastering though but as far as external inserts while mixing no reason to spend on Apogee or similar.

Well I'm not saying this the end-all/be-all plugin. However, I do like this one. I won't be using it on every mix or anything like that. But, it does add a nice coloring to some tracks that I like and when I need that I'll use it. Its just another tool in the kitbag to pull out when needed.

Yeah sorry about that brother

I just feel that hardware will always have the advantage but thefe are great plugins and we use those too. Just stopped buying and downloading dupes of every hardware ever made as it has started to become tedious and time consuming to keep up with every new 10 plugins per day I mean how many SSL emulations and Neve and 1176 emulations etc does one need? Even though we have 350-400 great plugins that has been expensive especially UAD-2 and Fab Filter and a few AA ones we still end up using the same 8-10 plugins on all sessions and hardware to warm it all up before sending off to master engineers so I am seriously gonna clean out a lot of plugins and some of these plugins are very good and I will give them away for the price of ilok transfer fee to those who are interested. Will post a list of the plugins we will give away likd some KUSH, Waves, Slate that we have dupes of and other pretty great stuff as soon as I have done the cleansing

A few nice VI aswell like Rob Papen, some NI VI and effects and Tone2 ElectraX version 1 which we never use but they are good VI so will post as soon as I have time to look at this. Maybe a few at a time so we can send them to some of you sooner rather than later.
