Default automation bypass bug

try this:
-instaciate a waves deesser
-automation enable bypass
-bypass it
-close the session, reopen it
-try to un-bypass the plug.... doesn't work
-deactivate it (control-command-click), and reactivate it
-everything is back to normal...

I'm having this for quite some versions now, and I am surprised that
nobody else mentioned it.. It's quite annoying if one bypasses a plug by automating
it, and after reopening it's just doing nothing anymore...

it happens with quite a few plugs here: waves deesser, L2, fairchild 660/670, sonalksys dc1, phoenix,
I'm shure there's more...

anyone ? best regards-

Hi Phil,
This actually happens with the Waves C1 Comp-Gate as well. I'm always careful not to bypass plug ins unless I'm sure it doesn't exhibit the bug.
Peace,
Brandon

Yes, we are aware of this - this seems to be related to having automation on the track. If you play back at a transition point for 'bypass' (either going from 'on' to 'off' or vice versa) the bypass button will suddenly work again.

We are, obviously, looking for a fix for this...
