Default Waveform

When you select a piece of audio and make a volume adjustment is it possible to see the waveform get bigger and smaller as you adjust in volume view as opposed to waveform view?
I can see the waveform get bigger or smaller when I adjust clip gain in waveform view but is it possible in volume view.
I’m running Win Pro Tools version 10.3.9.

You could convert your volume to clip gain, its a nice feature.

Mind you that if you have a lot of dynamic volume automation and do this for your entire session it will create a HUGE extra load to the session size and RAM usage. Especially under PT10 this can cause more memory related crashes.

Not sure why but a lots of dots in the the clip gain blows up your session size significantly.

Also: Once coalaced to clip gain it's extremely cumbersome to continue to mix for obvious reasons. So you'll be constantly coalescing back and forth between volume and clip-gain if you want to mix like that.

Hmmm. Good to know guys.

I don't do it myself, I just thought it might solve pseudo's problem, clearly not!

I did look at my memory usage the other day on PT11 for the first time in a long while and I was using 16gigs!!!!

I'm guessing that session will not open in PT10.
