Default Re: Zplane Elastique AAX in 12.8.2HD

So I bit on the Elastique AAXtce special deal, and am so far regretting it. On a simple voiceover track compressed about 3% it absolutely sucked. Hollow, swishy and swirly, like 1995 technology. Avid's TC/E blew it out of the water. The tce version of Elastique offers no settings, and appears to default to whatever the fastest, cheapest sounding time compression would be in a free plugin. But this one ain't free. Greatly disappointed.

If I'm missing some way to get this thing to sound decent, please enlighten me.
