I am trying to find out if I can program the Leslie speaker like you would do volume or whatever. The change from slow rotary speaker to fast is one of the most impressive effects of a Hammond B3. Everything about the DB33 is so realistic. However, I find no way to automate the process of the Leslie going from slow to fast within a specific measure or measures of a recording. Is there a way? Or is my only choice just on or off? Thanks!

The rotor automation parameter is known as "Spd". You can enable this parameter and write all the automation changes you want. You can also map a controller to the rotor function.

Generally a Leslie is only 3 speeds - fast (aka tremolo) slow (chorale) and off (stopped). In a vi that's all you have access to. A lot of Hammond drawbar organ emulations have the speed controlled by the modulation wheel on a synth. That's one thing to look at for speed change.

If one is using an external Leslie effect like PSP's L'otary you can program the speed control via any number of MIDI cc's. The plugin has both a button to switch between the discrete speeds and there's also a programmable lever to go continously from slow to fast and back again.
