ADC & RTAS plugs on an AUX

I've finally started using PT 7 recently, think were using 7.1cs8.

Trying to use an RTAS plug on an au gives me a complete misreport for the ADC value. At this point I only remember using dynamics 3 or bomb factory stuff, but not sure.

I'm sure I've seen a thread on here about it recently, but can't find it by searching.

Can anyone help?

>a complete misreport< What exactly is happening? what is the reading and what makes you think it is incorrect?

Rtas plugs will read differently to TDM and will change their reading when you change the playback buffer setting! is this whats happening?

Hi Chris, I'm gettin a reported delay of some 4100 samples, so it's beyond the range of ADC, and is very audible.

Reported value is in red.

What plugins are on the aux? also what plugins are on any tracks that are bussed to the aux? as these will count towards the final delay count!! some plugs will push the count over the ADC especially if your HW buffer is set low 128/256 etc!! 512 is a good compromise between latency and RTAS plugin delay.

if you set the aux/bus to no input does it still go over the ADC?

What is your HW buffer set to?
