No audio on playback

Hi,

I searched for an answer and read the manual but couldn't find the answer. I'm a noob, so it's probably an easy solution.

I followed the exact instructions in the user manual for "Recording an Audio Track". Everything seems to works fine, but when I try to play the track, there is no sound.

Please let me know if you need some more info.

Yes, my speakers are on!

My interface is Mbox2, Version 7.4

The mute button is not on.

I went to Setup >> I/O >> Output tab and it has the Mbox2 listed, Stereo box is checked, Audition Paths and New Track Default Output both say "None". What setting would you recommend?

I have learned PT won't use your computer speakers, so I have tried the headphone jack with no luck. If I plug into the Mbox headphone jack, I do hear the sound but it is very, very low even with the gain turn all the way up. I have tried a few different headphones with the same results. I also recorded the vocals just below clipping, so it seems there is plenty of audio coming in to Pro Tools.

Try setting the MIX knob at halfway. If that helps, then its time to read up on how/why you use it and need it. Youtube has tons of decent tutorial videos for Mbox and all things in Pro Tools.
