Zap every 10 seconds from 96 i/o

hey folks,

I just hooked up a 96 i/o to my 192 to run an 1176 and a couple external pres into. but now if I set anything up as an insert, or select a pre as an input, I get a loud zap about every 10 seconds. strangely, about every 5 seconds with the insert, and 10 seconds with the inputs). any ideas??

How is it being clocked? And i'm guessing you means in pro tools, not from the actual box itself... because if the box is zapping TURN IT OFF! :P

Both devices are set to internal, just connected by a digilink cable.
and yes, getting zaps through pro tools outputs.

connect the Loop Sync cables so the 96 can slave to the 192
