Default folders or other organization for regions list?

Hey I've just a quick question; I'm editing a 10 minute pilot episode for a web-series, and I've got so many regions in the regions list from recording foley, trimming, using audio suite, etc., that its hard to find things that I'm looking for, so I'm wondering if there is a way to make folders, or maybe some other way of organizing my regions list.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks.

I want this for years ... but digi-avid never let us organize the audio list with folders.
The only workaround is to have explicit names with prefix, then command-shift-f.
You can also organize folders in your hard drive and then use sound miner or the workspace but it won't be as simple as folders in the audio list window.
please digi-avid : implement that (and also handle in audiosuite )

It's beyond ridiculous at this point. I mean, I'm no programmer, but how hard can that feature be? We've been asking for years and nada.

People waiting for this feature about 12 years, since digi promised to integrate it in PT.
So I guess another 12 years with Avid now is fair enough...

Search the DUC (sorry AAF) and you'll fine how many people and for how long, are moaning for this option.

It´s a great way to explain entropy to physics students.

Seriously: There is no really good way to maintain the region list. The whole concept is just wrong.

It´s like compulsive hoarding disorder on a digital level

The symptoms are quite similar:

Quote:
-the acquisition of and failure to discard a large number of possessions that appear to be useless or of limited value
-living spaces sufficiently cluttered so as to preclude activities for which those spaces were designed
-significant distress or impairment in functioning caused by the hoarding
-reluctance or inability to return borrowed items; as boundaries blur, impulsive acquisitiveness could sometimes lead to kleptomania or stealing

Frank.

HAHA, wow alright then I guess I'll just have to live with it. It just seems like file management would have been one of the first things to go into software like PT. Oh well, thanks for the replies everyone.

**Maybe if we keep this post up in the ranks long enough they'll do something about it...wait you said 12 years? ...ok never mind haha**
