Still getting error 9092 & 9093: \"increase HW buffer size\"
I'm still getting error 9092 & 9093 ("increase HW buffer size") even though I've tried a number of fixes: (System info below) - I've disabled devices (Network Adapters) in the Device Manager in Windows XP. - I've enabled DMA for Hard Drive in Windows XP. - I've defragged the hard drive. Any other ideas? CPU INFO: Compaq Presario S5200NX desktop 2.7 GHz Intel Celeron processor 512 MB of RAM 120 GB hard drive SESSION INFO: sample rate: 48 kHz bit depth: 24 Bit number of tracks: 10 what plugins used and how/where: Click track only Fader Gain: 12+ Audio File Type: BWFF (.WAV) |

Re: Still getting error 9092 & 9093: \"increase HW buffer siz
No version of Pro Tools supports Celeron processors.
You also have only listed one hard drive. Your Pro Tools sessions need to be on a separate physical hard drive.

Re: Still getting error 9092 & 9093: \"increase HW buffer siz
Same problem -
Intel Duo Core 1.86GHZ Processor with 1066 FSB 1 SATA 250 GB HDD 1 SATA 320 GB HDD 2 GB RAM 256 MB VIDEO CARD (ATI) Intel 965 Chipset I can't even record one second of music without getting a 9092 error (Increase or Decrease buffer size). No heavy load on system resources. When I choose to ignore errors, its as if the play button ignores my click (it'll blink two or three times and stop). Just bought this MBOX 2 Pro 2 weeks ago and I still can't get it to work. Any suggestions anyone please? I've disabled my NIC, my NOD32 (AV software), and yesterday I blew away my XP Pro and reinstalled from scratch and I'm still getting nowhere. I'll be indebted to any one who helps me get this working! ICR |

Re: Still getting error 9092 & 9093: \"increase HW buffer siz
Technically, you are getting the same errors, yes, but it is not the same cause, so it is not the same problem.
Some errors have a specific "fix" for them. Some errors can be caused by a number of different issues, so the "fix" needs to be determined by the "cause". Please, go through and try the suggestions in the General Troubleshooting thread, up to and including posting details about your system using the Sandra software.

Re: Still getting error 9092 & 9093: \"increase HW buffer siz
Understood -
Thank you for the link. I followed every step of that troubleshooting guide including the XP Hotfix download for dual-core processors. I changed the processor settings, disabled my internal nic, even onboard audio card was disabled. DEP excludes Pro-Tools, HDD are setup correctly (Record enabled). I've disabled the RAID drivers on the SATAs. I even tried disabling one core and attempted running on a solo core and it still didn't work. I started PRO-Tools, and under task-manager, set the affinity of PROTOOLS.EXE to just one processor, opened a new session and still no luck. I've disabled my AV solution and minimized the startup and services listed under MSCONFIG. Here's a summary of my PC per PC Wizard, (had it installed before): Mainboard : Dell 0WG864 Chipset : Intel P965 Processor : Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 @ 1866 MHz Physical Memory : 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM ) Video Card : ATI Technologies Inc 256MB ATI Radeon X1300PRO Hard Disk : MAXTOR (320 GB) Hard Disk : WDC (250 GB) DVD-Rom Drive : PHILIPS DVD-ROM DROM6316 DVD-Rom Drive : TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H553A Monitor Type : Samsung SyncMaster - 19 inches Network Card : Intel Corporation 82562V 10/100 Network Connection Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.01.2600 Service Pack 2 DirectX : Version 9.0c I checked the Ignore errors under Playback/Record option and nothing - then I enabled the Minimize IO latency box and I got an error that said: "Problem detected with audio clock. Check that your clock source and sample rate are correct" I have no clue what that means. Your assistance is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks! ICR |

Why isn't the WDC drive showing up as a logical storage drive? Is it not formatted? Quote:

Re: Still getting error 9092 & 9093: \"increase HW buffer siz
Thanks for the link on the firewire card. I wasn't aware of that. I'll have to check that when I get back to the office. Perhaps I'll just pick up an approved card on my way back.
As far the HDD, The Audio Drive (D:) is the secondary drive (320GB) My main drive (C:) is 250GB of which only 50GB is partitioned for the system (OS, Programs etc). I have yet to format the other 200GB on this drive. However, I confirmed this morning that all sessions and audio are being stored on my secondary drive. I never gave thought to the card reader so I'll disable that today also. Just to confirm , based on the Sandra Report I sent, I really shouldn't have any "performance" problems with my PC correct (outside of the firewire card and card reader issue)? Thank you for all of your help. I'll respond when I address both areas you pointed out. Thanks again. ICR |

Re: Still getting error 9092 & 9093: \"increase HW buffer size\"
I've been having -9092 errors and -9129. I have been told to disable my wireless internet card in the device manager and it seemed to help. Not sure, you may have already done this when you disabled network adapters.
