Default How to create my own Pro Tools shortcuts?

Hello everyone,
I use to be able to create my own shortcuts (System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts) for Pro Tools.
I am still able to do that and the shortcuts appear in the right menus but Pro Tools just doesn't react to them. When I push the keys on my keyboard the menu gets highlighted but thats it.
Any idea?
Cheers, Detlef.

My setup:
OSX: 10.8.4
PT: 11.0.1

Let me just point you to an alternative - I use a 3rd party application for that (QuicKeys), which never gave me any troubles.

Should you not be able to sort your issues out, give it a try:
http://startly.com/products/quickeys/mac/4/

(The trial version never runs out, the full version is $60.)

Thank you Meads. I guess I am not the only one with this problem:

Will try the QuicKeys route.

I use Quickeys.

This is the other option I know of:
