Default When will AVID release a series of AllInOne HDX Audio Interfaces?

I would be so happy, if Avid would release a range of Audio Interfaces with built in HDX capabilities, USB-C/Thunderbolt plus a Mixer Software Application that lets you use it with other DAWs once in a while.

What are the chances?

It's here. It's called MTRX. Check it out! $$

Hey Nathaniel - I think the OP means he'd like it to have the HDX card's DSP capabilities integrated into the I/O. Otherwise the MTRX ticks all the boxes...

I know. Not to sound flip, but NOT getting HDX built into that interface in 2019 is probably a blessing.

hmm MTRX without HDX, interesting!
For me, the coolest HDX feature is not plugins on inputs, but near zero latency audio monitoring done directly from within Pro Tools. As someone who records himself playing multiple sound sources, i want to press record enable and then hear my source in the headphones without latency and without having to switch to a second layer software first to turn different sources on/off.

So since i hate the loud HDX card fan anyway can this be done with PT and a MTRX without HDX?

Thanks!

Indeed^^^ The only reason to go HDX is to get maximum input count and lowest tracking latency. If you don't need those, a native system can deliver plenty for most power users

I don‘t think I have so special ears, but so far only hardwired mixing desk monitoring or HDX have worked for me while playing and recording. Would love to be convinced otherwise!

I haven't tested MTRX with an HD|Native Thunderbolt connection, but the last time I compared HDX to HD Native (using an HD I/O), the latency was undetectable on HDX and a little bit annoying on HD Native. So if that's important to you, you need HDX. You can arrange your studio so the expansion chassis holding the HDX card and fan is far away.

That's what the DAD AX32 is (which is what the MTRX is)
Before the Avid/DAD partnership, the DAD AX32 had a minidigilink connection option to hook to HDX.
After the Avid/DAD partnership, the DAD AX32 still exists but without any option for the minidigilink connection and the MTRX exists with the minidigilink connection.

Better than getting the MTRX and using the HD Native PCIe/Thunderbolt card is using a Dante accelerator card to the MTRX or DAD AX32. It seems to have lower latency. [But it'll never be as low latency as a mixer-on-chip as a FPGA or DSP system like HDX. Or even the MTRX/DAD AX32's own internal mixer/router which is on chip -- that can be used to re-route/parallel route monitoring for no latency tracking]
