session freezes up
Every time I load a particular session it will freeze up and become extremely slow. The cursor moves really slow and The cpu usage spikes up and down. On all the other sessions it does not do this. This session by the way has the least amount of plugins on it. It goes up to %40 usually. Does anyone know what is causing this?
I've tried other sessions backed up and dates earlier saved and it does the same thing. Any help? |

Re: session freezes up
try the following: trash preferences, start new sesion, import tracks from the broken file. sometimes it helps.

Re: session freezes up
It seems that at 1024 buffer is like 64 samples. Now when I change the buffer to 512 it is fine but has too much processing to bounce to disk. I had to import all audio tracks and remix. I'm lucky it was only around 25 tracks. The other sessions are around 40.
Has anyone encountered this in case it happens again? I want to know what caused it so it never happens again. |

Re: session freezes up
I have had this happen to me a couple of times. Don't no what causes it ,but what I did was load the most recent back up file then save as. Did your faders jump ,track meters, cursor moving slow some times wouldn't even move at all.

Re: session freezes up
Yes that's what happened. I couldn't get anything in that folder to work properly. I had to remix an entire tune. Imported the audio tracks. to a new session. I've never had this happen. I wish I did because I don't want to remix an entire song again. A total waste of time.

Re: session freezes up
did you go into your session file back up for that song a load the most recent backup, nothing would be lost. this is what I did And when you close session do a save as and rename it like the song title final
