Same and only 10/11/12.2.1 are available to download from the site.

Running PT 12.5 on OS X 10.11.5 on a 2013 MBPr 15 i7 / 16GB Ram / 1TB SSD.

No special settings - wifi on - no 2nd disk - installed 12.5 over 12.4 over 12.3 etc etc.

My experience with PT has been really good - I'm deeply skeptical of all the special Voodoo many folks do to "optimize" their systems.

Everything works fine. Lucky me!

So I do have to say that my system giving distorted playback after an ever increasing shorter amount of time seems to have disappeared. I left a session open over 10 hours and came back to it and hit play and was able to play perfectly. Recently it had gotten so bad that often within an hour it was distorting. Not sure if its the upgrade, or something out of the restore of my system following a roll back from El Capitan (again) but I am happy with that. That said, sounds like a lot of folks are not terribly impressed.

Same here. I've tried to reach out to Avid for assistance but they have been no help.

So many problems with this release.

Gone, reinstalled 12.4.

Hopefully an update will be coming soon.

It's so weird how different everybody's experiences with 12 are. For me and others I know, 12.4 was very unstable, and so far 12.5 is way better on my system. Other people seem to be having the exact opposite experience.

Once again.. sorry for the neub question.

Protools 12.4 HD
i7 3.0 Mac Mini 16 gig Ram 1TB SSD
Not a nube question - it's a good one.

You don't have to unistall the old version. The new one will handle it properly and install over it. If you'd like to keep 12.4 for now - just rename the app "Pro Tools 12.4" and then the new 12.5 will install next to it - no problem.

It's handy for us to install beta versions and keep the current shipping version there too.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Mark,

Sorry to hear that - what type of problems are you having? What OS? We'd need a little more info to try and help…

Thanks,
Tom
