roland fantom xa multi timbral setup going wrong where? ?

hey im tryin to get pt 8 to utilize the rolland fantom xa multi timbral setup

using a midisport 4x4 anniversay
in protools i have
:an instrument track to hear the roland
: 3 midi tracks set up to send data on all channles from my midi controller and for the roland to recive channles in order of the midi track example
midi track 1 should be only reciving rolland ch 1 and midi track 2 should only b reciving roland ch 2 etc....
when i arm a midi track i should only hear the corasponding ch thats set for the roland to recive but no matter what track i have armed i only hear the channle that is selected in the roland so i must b goin wrong some where in the rolland options because ive got another synths to work this way today in pt but im pretty new to midi so i can b messing somthin up does n e body kno where im going wrong in the set up?n e help would b appriciated! thanx
