Default How to use System Exclusive data

I would like to understand how to use system exclusive data but I don't have a clue. I have a proteous 2000 and a 001. If anyone has any thing I can try I'd love to hear it. Can I change sounds on one midi track during a sequence? Much thansk for any tips.
