Why I will be buying PT10

The new feature list includes many important things we requested on Ideascale. "export tracks as session", realtime fades, destructive punch in CPTK, Eucon 2.0 integration, Audiosuite handles, better disk handling... the list goes on.

There's too much complaining on this list. Avid is clearly committed to the future needs of the pro audio market. Yes, the upgrade price seems steep for HD users, but overall, the price of an HD|Native system or a CPTK system is very reasonable.

Cheers to Avid on a great new release.

I'm going to start building a Lion/PT10 boot drive next week.

Well, let me tell you a small but happy story....
Was going to buy a new external drive for my ever growing PT Sessions Library, but now my Lacie Poulton Drive works with PT10 - playback and recording!
I was going to buy the Metric Halo channel strip but now will get my teeth into Avid 'Channel Strip'.
So, for me (and I know it may only be me) it evened out quite nicely.

BTW anyone notice the cheeky extra 'Avid Marketplace' option in the plug-ins menu yet?

Are you kidding me? Less than 1% of customers will find these useful.

This update is garbage, and the lack of a good update is even worse.

Hey violet, why don't you go and take a vacation before you truly turn violet. We already understands that no matter what Avid would do, you would never admit that they did something good, because your addicted to an other software.
