removing expired plugins plug-ins Abbey Road Studios
Hello all,
I was racking my brains for some time until I found the proper solution, so I figured I'd post this to save someone else the grey hairs... I'm on A Macbook Pro OSX using PT 7.1.1 I used the Abbey Road Brilliance Pack demo until it expired. The annoying 'authorize or quit' message appeared. I then deleted the application. Still the annoying window. Found the pug in aliases etc etc, deleted those. Then it started asking me THREE TIMES to 'authorize or quit'!! The trick was this: - delete DAE prefs. That's always a good starting point. - then search for RS135 and RS127 on your computer. - take all those files and move them into a folder titled 'unused' in their respective folders (in case needed again for some odd reason) Annoying message is gone! Hope that helps someone else too. I always like to make a coffee while Protools loads. Now I can again - Glory be! joe dochtermann |
