<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">you named the topic "no windows sounds." that usually refer to system sounds, and if you haven't turned them off yet, then you should (you knwo, the dings when you get a suprise pop-up window, etc etc).

your question seems to be asking if you can have winamp or computer games' sounds come out of the 002R, like a normal sound card?

if the 002R is your only sound card, and you want to get this ability, install the Wave Driver beta (on the PT CD) onto your computer, and set that as your default sound card.

i'm not sure if the wave driver has changed since 5.3.x, but it used to be a single-client driver.

Or buy a cheap'o soundblaster patch the outs to the alt in's on your 002, then just use the alt ins to monitor button on your 002 whenever you need to use the soundblaster.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">that's exactly what i do, actually. well, i do it with the 001 (monitor mode), and the extra soundcard i use is the Terratec DMX 6Fire 2496.

it's as if the 001 actually has a decent wave driver!
