DADMan Firmware - When to Flash?
I currently am running...
DADMAN 5.3.4 Build 3 CPUFW 2.0.1.1 MATRIX 1.1.8.5 Everything runs ok but I noticed there are new firmware versions available. Is it recommended to flash to the latest (v2.3.0.1)? |

Re: DADMan Firmware - When to Flash?
Yes, I would recommend updating your MTRX firmware to current both for the Main Board as well if you have any Dante IO installed. The current versions are as follows:
Main Board: 2.3.0.1 Dante IP: 1.0.2.1 You will also get the added benefit of being able to label all of the cards in the routing matrix. As a safety / backup I would recommend taking screen grabs of your routing patchbay. I have seen some older units upgraded to newer firmware that can lose some of their patches after update. The monitor profile is not a concern and should be recalled completely. Jeff |

Re: DADMan Firmware - When to Flash?
I do not use Dante btw. and based on my present version (2.0.1.1), can I directly flash to 2.3.0.1 or do I have to step-install doing 2.2.0.1 first?

Re: DADMan Firmware - When to Flash?
No problem.
Any MTRX with 2.1 or higher can be updated to the latest firmware. Any MTRX with 2.0 or lower needs to be upgraded first to 2.1, rebooted, then upgraded to the latest. Feel free to email me if you need the legacy 2.1 firmware file. best, Jeff |

Re: DADMan Firmware - When to Flash?
Greetings,
Yes - your firmware is up to date then. Version 2.3.0.1 for the mainboard is the latest available firmware bundle. Here's a shot of my Avid account showing the available assets for the MTRX: To label your IO, click on the Conf section in the bottom of the DADman interface, then the appropriate IO tab. For any flavor of IO you can label the Inputs and Outputs. MADI (both on the chassis, and using the expansion daughterboard) is shown here: Once you've added the naming field labels these will show up in the routing matrix as you can see above. best, Jeff |
