Default Licensing question

If I decide to buy Pro Tools 2020 (I'm using First now) does the license allow it to be installed on more than one machine? (e.g. my desktop and my laptop).

Thanks

It allows it to be used on any number of computers.. Macs or Windows PCs. the license lives on your iLok... and I would normally recommend using that physical iLok and not cloud licensing... cloud licensing (more like what you have seen with First is an option but...) at least for me it is more of a PITA to move back and forth... and you cannot work fully offline like you can with an iLok. But do not lose that iLok, it *is* your license... read up on iLok.com about loss insurance/recovery options.

Amen to ZDT (Zero Downtime) insurance - it's the best $30 US you will ever spend. Don't forget the free TLC (theft & loss coverage) for if you lose your iLok.

You can install Pro tools on as many computers as you would like, but you can only use one at a time. As mentioned above, putting the license on a physical iLok and moving that iLok between computers is the easiest option. And please do get the Zero Down Time protection for your iLok. It is a no-brainer at $30/year.
