Default 32 inputs with 003R - how?

Hey folks

First of all I must say that the new PT 9 is absolutly fantastic. It runs very smooth and off course theres all the new features.

Speaking of new features I was wondering, how I can make use of the new 32 input feature in the regular PT9 with my 003 rack?

As far as I know I can only get another 8 input via adat and then the two in via spdif, thats it. But perhaps I'm missing somthing here?

Is it posible to get 32 in with the 003R and how can that be done?

Edit: By the way, I'm on Win7 64

Thanks in advance
Jakob

No, it is not possible. Only 18 inputs. And, sadly, aggregate i-o under mac is not supported with digi00series interfaces.

If you haven't heard about it, then you haven't been following the boards.

I can confirm as I have tested with both 002 and 003. It does not show up as an option for aggregate I/O. This has also been confirmed by Avid.

??

I read this thread:
http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=287381

So I thought it should have worked until 10.6.5...

Cannot find the thread AVID confirming aggregate I/O is not working with 002/003...

How is that thread relevant to the 002/003?

Either way... regardless of whether or not Avid has confirmed it, it has been confirmed by many users including myself. The 002/003 family and HD hardware are not compatible with aggregate I/O.

Have you read it? The guy is talking about using aggregat i/o and has the 003 in his setup... And as far I understand it has worked until 10.6.5...

I did read it.

He is referring directly to Aggregate I/O disappearing... not the 003 disappearing as an option for aggregate I/O.

Trust me. The 003 is not, and never has been compatible with aggregate I/O. I have done extensive testing with Aggregate I/O since I installed PT9. I have tested several interfaces, and so far the only ones that did not show are the 002 and 003.

They still both worked as interfaces by themselves. Just not combined with other interfaces.
