MIDI assignment bug remains

They tend to do big implementations at once and then forget about it. Last big MIDI improvement was on PT 8.0 so you are right it is about time already

Yes, I stated in my very first post at the beginning of this thread that I opened a support ticket. I've also discussed this issue previously with Avid support.

Just had it yet again this morning. Something to do with multiple instances of the same plug-in maybe?

Edit : So I went back through my auto-backups:

0.16 : same issue
0.15 : same issue
0.14 : this one is fine. The only thing I can tell that's different on this session is that the FM8 VI is to the right of the 2 XPand!s, and I moved the FM8 to the left of them both at some point...so must be something to do with the order you create them vs the re-ordering you do to them afterwards, maybe? Does this even make any sense to anyone?

I've been going back and forth with Avid about this since my first post. No progress yet but the person I'm communicating with has now asked me to share DUC threads about this MIDI assignment bug with them so that they can read through. I'm going to share this thread and do a search to find others but also wanted to post here in case any of you know of other places on the DUC where this has been discussed. If you do please comment with a link to the thread and I will share with Avid.
