Avid rental Plug In Issue
Mac OS10.8 User
About 4 Hours Ago I decided to Rent a few Plug Ins from the Avid Store. Slightly Rude Compressor Avid Rental 04/26/2013 X-Form Avid Rental 04/26/2013 The Above is a paste from my iLok Account. When I entered into PT10.3.3 both Plugins gave me the dialog box saying the 2 were rental plugins. The files are in the right place >Library/App Support/Digidesign/Plugins. The Issue: Slightly Rude Comp was Found and works as expected. X-Form is not any where to be found in my PT10. So I drag the Files into the unused plugings folder and reinstalled the X-Form Plugin, Restarted computer still no X-Form. I am not really concerned about the $15 for the rental, I want to know why and what I can do to fix this. Good thing I did not decide to drop 500.00 for ownership. It seems it is really easy to possibly get burned buying plugins as a new PT user. Any help would be accepted. |

Re: Avid rental Plug In Issue
Welcome to the Avid Community.
Slightly Rude Compressor is more commonly used real-time on a track (search for "Inserts" in the Help menu > Pro Tools Reference Guide), whereas X-Form is used to process files (it's in the AudioSuite menu > Pitch Shift) . What version of X-Form are you installing?
