Import Audio from Sony PCM D50 PT stuck bug

I try to import to my 48 KHz 24 Bit WAVE session a multi channel audio recorded on my SD788T (from HHD).
Shift+Command+I - if I try to audition the file Pro Tools stuck. If I try to copy or convert it, Pro Tools stuck and I only can cancel the task.
The work around is to take the file first to the desktop or to any internal drive location and then all the function work just fine.

Same behaviour with importing files from my Sony PCM D100.

Anyone can try it for me?

I don't have anything like your rig, but are you sure the file suffix of what you are trying to import is WAV?

Yes absolutely.
The very same file imports perfectly if first copied to the desktop.
Also on the same machine PT HD 10.3.9 has no problem importing these files.
Its just about PT HD 11.2.2

Same issue here (PTHD 11.2, with Native+Omni) with the PCM D50: I have to copy the files to one of my drives before importing in PT.
PT 10 works as expected.
I think it's an issue with PT 11.2 (and point releases). Don't remember if it used to work in the earlier releases of 11.

I think its an issue started with PT11.1
None of my recorders files could be normally imported: SD788T, PCM-D50, PCM-D100, Olympus LS11

I find the same thing happens if I try import from an ExFAT formatted hard drive. Have to copy to an HFS+ drive first.

Tried setting the drive to Transfer only, still nothing.

Another fantastic f•ck up from Avid.

Not just this. You even can't audition any file.
Avid, 'cmon it just so basic.
I cant believe this thread doesn't attract too much attention.
Are there only few people using this function?

I have a similar problem importing from an XSAN. PT 11.2 won't process anything directly from it, the files have to be copied locally first. I can import and play a Quicktime but only if I do not import the audio with it.

Anyone else experiencing XSAN woes with PT 11? Worked fine with 10. I found one thread mentioning similar problems but no resolution.

We imported a bunch of BWAVs the other day recorded on a 788T and a Zaxcom Nomad at 48k and 96k without issues.

Are you trying to import these directly from the machine while it's mounted via FW or USB?
