Default AMD Chipsets?

OK so I have a gaming computer and I am wanting to put an AMD Motherboard with the 790 GX Chipset in it. I was wondering if this or any of the AMD 7 series Chipsets will work with Pro Tools. Right now I have an asus board with Nvidia 430 chipset and everytime I have tried to install the drivers for my Mbox2 mini it crashes. I have tried it with Windows Xp SP2 and SP3 and also Windows Vista Buisness. They all do the same thing. I can install M-powered pro tools and us my room mates Fast Track just fine on all of those OS work.

Thanks
